Next Tuesday morning, 2025-11-18, starting no earlier than 08h30 and finishing by 10h30, there will be some outages to main Teaching Labs systems:
- Our main file server will be rebooted, making unusable all systems where people can log in for 15 minutes or so, for a couple of security updates;
- External-access systems wolf (ssh to teach.cs.toronto.edu), dbsrv1 (database-course host), and hippo and rhino (X2Go and RDP-over-ssh systems) will be rebooted as well, for the same security updates;
- The systems providing GitLab and course-specific RT (ticketing) will be down for about an hour each for a hardware upgrade.
