Software tools, 2 of 2

You don't need to know the details of how all of these tools work; what you need to be able to do is to recall, perhaps somewhat dimly, that a certain tool exists, enough to find its name and read the "man page" and use it for a task.

As a video it was going to be too long, but I hope that it's interesting as a web page listing commands which you can try interactively.

The web page is notes/tools02.html. I suggest allowing an hour to go through it, while using a lab computer, either in person or over ssh.
