"Thirtsy Robot" by Timon Orawski and Ivan Krolo

Our animation tells the story of a robot that steals gasoline from cars to quench his thirst. However, he is caught by police officers, and an exciting chase ensues. We modelled the city, Mall, fire hydrants, lamp posts, and robots, but downloaded the model for the Car, which we found to be to hard to model.

As an added bonus, during the chase, the robot causes a fire hydrant to burst, which is simulated by a physically modelled particle fountain, written by us. All other animation was done using keyframes.

Interpolation is done in two ways by our program, linearly using a simple algorithm, and cubically, using hermite curves to calculate the keyframes.
