"Skydiving Dugey" by Simone Lau and Winnie Yeung

Our short animation is about an expert skydiver called Dugey who forgets his parachute in the helicopter. Instead of throwing Dugey his parachute, his friend throws a teapot out of the helicopter with the intent of playing a sinister joke on him. We worked together on all aspects of the animation. We used many degrees of freedom in the animation to give more control of different parts of different models. All models were created from GL primitives and GLU quads with many levels of hierarchies. Special visual effects include: OpenGL fog to make the scenery a bit cloudy, panoramic texture mapping of the mountainous scenery, bezier curves to depict the bouncing of the teapot, and transparency to give a ghostly feel in the "angel scene."
