Welcome to the web stub for the Winter 2008 term of
CSC 165, Mathematical
Expression and Reasoning for Computer Science.
In this course we learn about communicating ideas to
other computer scientists, and even to ourselves. Since any
communication is full of opportunities for misunderstanding, we
work at ways to make our communication as precise as possible.
Here's how to find out more:
- Course information sheet. This is how this course is conducted. A paper copy
is available on request (but you might just read it here).
- Check the Course
prerequesites to be sure you are able to participate in this
course. Without the proper prerequisites or a waiver, the
department may remove you at any point during the semester.
- Course
wiki. Course notes, lecture summaries, on-line journals,
administrative details, and grades. Use your CDF
userid to log in, with your
student number as password. Userid
newcomer with password
let_me_in is now discontinued, since all of you should have userids and student numbers by now. You may change to a more secure
password by submitting a request to me in writing.
- Check course bulletin board regularly (at least weekly).
